Are you a strategic finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, public-facing role? We’re looking for a permanent, full-time Taxation Manager to lead the City’s property tax operations and play a key role in delivering essential services to our community.
Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, you’ll serve as the City’s designated Collector under the Community Charter, overseeing the billing and collection of more than $200 million in annual revenue. As part of our Finance leadership team, you’ll help ensure the integrity of our financial systems while driving continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary Degree in Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA) and membership in a recognized accounting association.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Public Sector Accounting and Reporting Standards as well as financial accounting theory and internal controls.
- Five to seven years of progressive management experience, preferably in large organizations.
- Experience with large financial systems.
- Extensive knowledge of standard office personal computer software.
- Strong and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to deal with both external and internal people in a professional manner.
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise and clear manner to varied audiences.

The annual salary for this position is $123,803.55. The City offers a comprehensive benefit package including generous vacation and an Earned Days Off program.
